In a career spanning 25 years at McKinsey, Pat has advised banking, insurance and asset management clients in the U.K., Europe, South Africa Australia and the U.S. on corporate strategy, business unit strategy, marketing, organisation design and operations. He has also provided hands-on support in implementing strategy, making and integrating acquisitions, risk management and overall performance improvement. In recent years he has helped insurers and asset managers develop responses to new challenges as their industries globalise, and he has been intimately involved in the rescue and restructuring of several banks in the financial crisis, as well as the restructuring of the banking system in several countries. In his time at McKinsey & Co Pat has also advised companies in a wide range of industries beyond financial services.
Pat graduated from University College Dublin with a first class honours degree in Commerce and qualified as a Chartered Accountant with Arthur Andersen & Co.
At The Resolution Group, Pat will have specific responsibilities for developing strategies for further restructuring projects within the financial services industry and related acquisitions, and for the strategic and operational repositioning of acquired businesses. More broadly Pat will bring to The Resolution Group an extensive network of relationships across Europe.
